Raptor Series HID Kits
We
offer Raptor series HID kits for all types of vehicles. You will need to provide us
with the bulb type that you need for your vehicle. Some bulb types may
carry an extra charge.
All of our kits are genuine DDM branded kits, and the Raptor series kits come with full size ballasts that incorporate the ignitor into the same unit. They also carry a lifetime warranty on all parts.
Our kits are available in 2 levels of brightness. The basic kit is rated at 35 watts. It is a vast improvement over halogen lamps, with the light output estimated to be 3 times as much as halogen lamps. You can also purchase a 55 watt HID kit, which is 40% brighter than the 35 watt kit.
Because of the nature of HIDs to draw a high current on startup, some vehicles may require an additional relay harness in order to properly install an HID kit. The accessory harness routes power directly from the car's battery for initial ignition of the bulbs. This assures that the proper amount of power is supplied to the ballasts, and that the wiring in your car won't be overloaded. While the kits that we sell only draw 6 amps at startup, we advise that you do research and find out if your vehicle needs a relay kit.
